The SARTORE brand was born in the south of France in 1959 when Marcelle and Paul Sartore began making shoes at their factory in Breil-sur-Roya, a little village in the hills above Nice.
Their superior craftsmanship and extremely distinctive styling helped earn the brand the luxury image it still enjoys today.
In 1997 the Breil factory was closed and manufacturing was moved to Italy, a country renowned for its creative, high quality shoe-making expertise. The founder’s two daughters, Catherine and Francoise, continue to jointly oversee the brand’s design and management.
The SARTORE collection is sold at premium stores around the world.
The SARTORE line is inspired by a mix of influences, expressing a passion for travel, from the United States to Asia, a taste for timeless craftsmanship, and a singular vintage culture.
